いさかい【諍い】

～する quarrel 《with sb, (up)on sth》; argue 《with sb, about [on, over] sth》.

●二人の間にはいさかいが絶えなかった. The two engaged in endless arguments (with each other).

・両家の間にいさかいが起こった. A quarrel broke out between the two families.

●ささいなことでいさかいになった. We quarreled [had a quarrel] over something relatively unimportant [some trivial matter].
